Abstract

902,598. Castors. DUO-BED CORPORATION. May 27, 1961, No. 19203/61. Class 52 (1). Each of roller assemblies for supporting a bed frame pivotable about a vertical axis comprises an elongated frusto-conical roller 14 mounted on an axle 15 journalled in a bracket 18 which is pivotable about a vertical spindle, the roller 14 having its ends provided with fins 29 which engage the pile of the carpet to twist the roller into a position in which it can rotate about its axle. A flange 26 on a nylon bushing 22 in a vertical sleeve 23 has a cut-away portion 27 to receive a pin 28 secured to bracket 18 to permit 90 degrees rotation of the roller assembly but prevent the roller becoming accidentally reversed.
