Abstract

900,286. Burners. HUTTENWERKE OBERHAUSEN A.G. June 17, 1960 [June 19, 1959], No. 21428/60. Class 75 (1). A gas and/or pulverized fuel burner comprises two coaxial tubes 4, 7 supplied with air from an air chamber 1 and a central fuel supply tube 10 having a conically widening burner end which has axial slits through which air from the inner air tube 7 enters the stream of fuel. The lugs 12 formed by the slits are bent to bear against the end of the air tube 7. A rod is supported by spiders 17 at the centre of the fuel-tube 10 and supports a baffle 16 at the mouth of the burner. A cleaning orifice is closed by a cap 14. The fuel tube may have a constriction near its conical end. A plurality of parallel burners may extend into a single combustion chamber and be made up of parallel rows each of three burners, the burners of each row being fed from the same air and fuel chambers.
