Abstract

899,103. Stays. HOPE & SONS Ltd., HENRY. Feb. 8, 1961 [Nov. 9, 1959], No. 37857/59. Class 65(1). A reversible window 11, which can be turned through approximately 180 degrees with respect to its frame 10 about a horizontal pivot axis 12, is provided with an L-shaped releasable stay 13 which is pivotally attached to the window by means of a headed pin 16 engaging an elongated slot 18 in the stay and is secured to the frame by means of a roller 21, attached to an end of the stay, which runs in a guide channel 20 provided on the frame. The upper part of the channel is provided with a notch through which the roller is withdrawn when the stay is disconnected from the frame. The stay secures the window in its normally open position and also secures the window in its reversed position by means of a hooked portion 24 which engages in a slot 25 provided on the frame.
