Abstract

898,450. Reciprocating pumps. COULTHARD & CO. Ltd., WILLIAM. Jan. 21, 1959 [May 2, 1958], No. 13991/58. Class 102(1). Plungers 12 are actuated by cams 13 through levers 14. The stroke of each plunger is presetrelative to the other plungers by an adjusting screw 18 which engages a rod 17 which in turn engages the lever 14. The screw 18 is threaded in a beam 20 common to all the adjusting screws and movable by means of a handle 26 to adjust the output of all the plungers simultaneously. The plungers may be hand actuated by the handle 26 or the rods 17. In a modification the common stroke varying device comprises a camshaft.
