[Also in Group XXVIII] A cross-head 7 having secured in opposite housings 11, 12 thereof heads 13, 14 of opposite coaxial pistons 5, 6 is reciprocated over a table 9 by a slide 17 articulated to a further piston 4 at right angles to pistons 5, 6 and reciprocated in a slot 18 of the cross-head 7 by engagement of an arm 23 of a driven crank-shaft 24, Fig. 2 (not shown), in a recess 22 of the slide 17.
