Abstract

590,758. Yarn twisting &c. machines. SCRAGG, Ltd., S. & E., and ARMES, C. L. April 17, 1945, No. 9540. [Class 120 (ii)] Yarns A, B, being fed to a twisting or doubling winding spindle after passing through guides J, K are forwarded by driven rollers C, D, about which the yarns are lapped in grooves G, each yarn also being led around a bar or roller H. After passing through an adjustable common guide N, the yarns are doubled by a ring and traveller. The rollers C, D, which are preferably of different diameter so to forward the yarns at different speeds, are attached together in such a way that one may be replaced by another of different diameter to alter the relative feed rates.
