896,695. Portable containers. KAISER INDUSTRIES CORPORATION. Nov. 29, 1960 [Sept. 16, 1960], No. 41011/60. Class 66. A container is formed of two sections 1, 2 secured together at their open ends to form a closed body, each section having an integral bead 13, 13<SP>1</SP> which includes top and bottom walls 20, 22 and 20<SP>1</SP>, 22<SP>1</SP> thicker than the walls 5, 5<SP>1</SP> of the container and an outer wall 21, 21<SP>1</SP> twice as thick as the walls 5, 5<SP>1</SP>. The sections 1, 2 are held together by a hoop 30 formed as a split ring and having ears 32 apertured to receive a bolt, Fig. 5 (not shown), threaded at both ends. A gasket of resilient plastic or rubber may be fitted between the adjacent beads 13, 13<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 4 (not shown), to provide an airtight seal. The section 1 may have legs 45 and a discharge valve. Handles may be fitted to each section.
