909,468. Valves. LAGUILHARRE, P. R., CIBOIT, J. J., and DELBERGUE, M. Oct. 26, 1960 [Nov. 7, 1959], No. 36829/60. Class 135. A valve comprises a diaphragm 7, Fig. 1, the edge of which is clamped by a screwed ring 4 between the bonnet 5 and the body 1 and the central part of which surrounds a member 8 having a groove 8a into which is folded the intermediate deformable part of the diaphragm. The top of the member 8 has ribs 10 which are located in complementary recesses in the bonnet 5 so providing supporting surfaces for the deformable part of the diaphragm. In another example, Fig. 8, the edge of the diaphragm is clamped between the bonnet 21 and the body 17 and the deformable part is folded into a groove 24a of the member 24. The diaphragm may be centrally thickened so as to constitute almost the entire body of the closure member.
