Abstract

887,187. Shaft-sinking rigs. NIKEX NEHEZIPARI KULKERESKEDELMI VALLALAT. June 16, 1960 [June 19, 1959], No. 21256/60. Class 78 (4). A mobile shaft-sinking equipment has a selfcontained unit 9 on wheels 13 which contains the winding gear, sheaves 5 being mounted on a pin 2 which hinges together the top ends of two relatively-tiltable masts 1. The lower ends of the masts are hinged to concrete foundations 4. Three sheaves 5 are provided, the central one carrying the hoisting rope and the outer ones guide ropes. In operation the winding house 9 rests on girders 14 and foundations 10. One of the masts forms a ladder with a safety rail 11. Guy-ropes 3 brace the rig laterally. To dismantle the rig the left hand bottom pin in Fig. 1 is removed and the rig slightly raised and then lowered to the ground by the winding rope which is attached to the hinge-pin 2 for that purpose. The bottom ends of the masts 1 may be attached to transversely and/or longitudinally displaceable slides mounted on the concrete foundations to facilitate adjustment of the fall of the ropes. More than one of the above rigs may be mounted to serve a shaft.
