882,789. Blow-moulding hollow articles. HAGEN, R. May 19, 1959 [July 26, 1958; Oct. 6, 1958; Nov. 7, 1958], No. 17005/59. Class 87(2). [Also in Group XVII] A two-part mould 10, 11 for blow-moulding a hollow article, e.g. a bottle, tube or ampoule, has end cutting members 12, 13 which are moved by a lever 21 or eccentric 22 to cut part of the end of a hollow article, whilst it is still in the mould. Various forms of cutting members are described for cutting various shapes. In a modification, Fig. 5, the movable cutting members 74, 75 may be positioned at the other end of the mould around the blowing nozzle 73. In a further modification, Fig. 6, the part 104 of the mould may be stationary, whilst the parts 105, 106, 107 and 108 are movable, and are each provided with cutting members. A mould of this type may produce a bellows, Fig. 15 (not shown), which may be severed, to form two complete bellows. In a further modification, Fig. 7, the movable cutting member may be in the form of a piston 143.
