881,208. Smoke throwers in battle vehicles. GILLHAGEN, A. A., and BERGE, S. E. Aug. 12, 1960 [Aug. 14, 1959], No. 28047/60. Classes 92 and 119. A battle vehicle 1 is provided with a number of smoke throwers R placed in two groups on the front side walls of the vehicle, one group being located on the left side of the vehicle and being arranged to throw smoke shells forwards and at various angles outwards towards the right side of the vehicle, the other group being located on the right side of the vehicle and being arranged to throw the shells forwards and at various angles outwards towards the left side of the vehicle, so that the trajectories of the shells will intersect. The smoke throwers R are protected by steel plate guards 2 having cover plates which may be opened and closed manually or by power means. Loading is effected through lids hinged to the bottoms of the guards 2.
