Class 20(3) [Also in Group XIV] Windows or doors 2, 3 of cabinets &c. sliding in parallel grooves are prevented from rattling by one or more spring devices each having a central part 9 with oppositely directed and oppositely curved wings 8, 8<SP>1</SP>, mounted with the part 9 in the centre line of the wall 6 separating the grooves in the top of the frame so that one wing presents a convex surface to one window &c. and the other wing presents a convex surface to the other window &c. With two devices as in Fig. 1, the distance between the centres thereof is less than the width of a window &c. The central part may be channel shaped provided with spikes 14, Fig. 5, or with flanges that can bite into the walls of the grooves or a strip with attachment lugs or a solid block fitting into a recess in the base of the gap formed in the wall 6.
