Abstract

1,134,473. Suspending curtains. W. HACHTEL. 26 April, 1967 [18 May, 1966], No. 19172/67. Heading A4B. A curtain rail 26 is fitted with separately made, plastics end caps 3 to define at each end an opening (15) through which runners are passed into rail track grooves 1, each opening (15) being subsequently closed by a stopper 16 pivotably supporting a curtain hook 17. The caps 3 are secured to the rail 26 by adhesive and/or nails 25 or screws. As shown the stopper 16 has a projection 16a and a recess 18 which have a snap engagement with the cap 3 and rail 26. The stopper 16 carries a leaf spring 19 which bears on the inside of the cap 3. The cap 3 may have an extension 10a for wall mounting. In a modification, Fig. 9, the cap 3 has a leaf spring type lug 21 with a nose 22 which snaps into a recess 18 in a modified stopper (Figs. 10, 11). A cap flange 12 is supported on a separate wall mounting plate 23.
