866,799. Cavity walls; wall ties; building blocks. ANGELINI, R. M. Nov. 25, 1957, No. 36694/57. Classes 20(4) and 87(1) A cavity wall is constructed from concrete building blocks each comprising a pair of block parts 10 held together in spaced relation by resilient wire or like clips. Each clip comprises generally V-shaped portions 20 interconnected at 24 and 28. The block parts are laid in two spaced rows when building the wall; clips are then inserted with the portions 20 engaged in undercut, tapering recesses 16 in the facing sides of the block parts, and are retained therein by the resilience of the portions 20. When the next course of block parts is laid, the tops 30 of the recesses 16 are closed by cement.
