Abstract

794,253. Screw elevators. WEBROE, A. P. July 9, 1954 [July 10, 1953], No. 19191/53. Class 78 (1). Bottles 2 and like articles roll down a shoot 1 into position below vertical guides 5, 6, 7, 8 and are raised between them by the rotation of the screw 4. A deflector at the top directs them on to a shoot 10. The shoots 1, 10 are so mounted that they can be changed from the positions shown to positions in which they receive bottles and deliver them, respectively. When the delivery shoot is full, an automatic cut-off for the driving mechanism of the screw comes into operation. The screw may be made of highly polished stainless steel.
