[Also in Group XXVI] A mono fuel power unit comprises a fuel tank container 1 which is divided into two chambers 3 and 2 by means of a flexible diaphragm 4 or a piston, monofuel contained in the chamber 3 being expelled therefrom by means of gas under pressure supplied to the chamber 2, the gas being tapped from the exhaust gases of the prime mover 13 which in the embodiment shown is a gas turbine. Fuel is supplied from the monofuel chamber 3 through duct 5 to fuel pump 6, thence to control valve 8 and combustion or decomposition chamber 11. The control valve 8 which may be as described in Specification 861,734 is also connected to the fuel chamber 3 by means of duct 9. Combustion products from the chamber 11 pass to the turbine 13 and exhaust gases therefrom discharge through the duct 14. The pressure of the exhaust gases is tapped off from the duct 14 and applied to the chamber 2 through the pipe 16. The inlet to the pipe 16 may be directed upstream so that the kinetic and static pressure of the gases is utilized or the inlet may be parallel to the flow of gases so that the static pressure only is utilized. A restriction 19 is disposed in the exhaust pipe so as to ensure a sufficiently high pressure of the exhaust gases. The fuel pump 6 is driven by the turbine 13 through connection 18. The exhaust gases passing through pipe 16 may be cooled for example by means of cooling fins or by making the pipe of considerable length.
