[Also in Group XXVI] In the gas turbine plant shown, compressed air delivered by a compressor 152 is preheated by the turbine exhaust as it passes through preheater tubes 162 from a chamber 160 to a chamber 164 and thence through further preheater tubes 166 to a chamber 168, from which it enters a combustion chamber 172 through openings 170. The combustion gases leave the combustion chamber through nozzle vanes 174.
