859,443. Cable terminations. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. May 28, 1958 [May 31, 1957], No. 17411/57, Class 36 A cable termination for a power cable having a central duct 1 carrying cooling fluid includes a conductive annular member 4 to the exterior of which is secured the cable conductor 5. A tube carrying the cooling fluid is coupled to the interior of the annular member at 12 and a current take-off lead is connected to the member at 14. A gland nut 8 is bonded to the outer insulating layer 9 of the cable and a housing 11 is sealed at one end to a ring 10 threaded to the nut and at the other end to a flange 6 on the member 4. The cable may be that described in Specification 862,254.
