Abstract

871,436. Cable terminations. PIRELLI S.p.A. July 3, 1958 [Oct. 26, 1957], No. 21322/58. Class 36. A single-core, fluid-filled, high-tension cable is sealed into a transformer or like casing 18 by means of the arrangement shown. The cable conductor 5 is connected to the conductor 17 within the casing by a connector 4 which is screened by, and sealed to, a conductive ring 1. The ring 1 is embedded within a sleeve 2 of thermosetting synthetic resin provided with an external flange 21 to which the flanges of the casing and the conical cap 6 are secured. The connector 4 is provided, on the side to which the cable is joined, with a duct 10 by which the space containing the insulating fluid within the cable is placed in communication with the conical cap.
