858,463. Endless conveyers. JAGENBERGWERKE A.G. May 5,1958 [May 11, 1957], No. 14276/58. Class 78 (1). [Also in Group XVI] A device for rejecting faulty sheets in sheet producing or handling machines in which the sheets are moved by endless upper and lower feed-belts 2, 3, is characterized in that the sheets 1 to be rejected are discharged by common deflection of parts of the upper and lower belts 2, 3 from their intended path of movement. A holder 6 carrying rollers 5, 8 for the belt 3 and roller 9 for the belt 2 is pivoted about a pin 7 on which the roller 8 is freely rotatable. Normally rollers 5 and 8 are in a horizontal line with a roller 11 and feed-belts 4 to which the sheets pass. On detection of a faulty sheet by any suitable means a pneumatic cylinder 12 is actuated to pivot the holder 6 to the position shown and the faulty sheet 1 is deflected beneath a fixed guide 13.
