Class 23 In a separator for separating liquid and discharging a lighter component over a weir 34 and a heavier component through peripheral nozzles 16, part of the heavier component is returned to the separating chamber 32 by tubes or passages 29 and an annular screen 42 is interposed between the zone or regions 37 leading to the nozzles and the separating chamber. The screen is of stainless steel and rests: on the ends of reinforced plastic blocks 38 and the bowl surfaces 44, 47.
