Abstract

852,515. Filing papers. MORTIMER BUSINESS EQUIPMENT Ltd. June 14, 1957 [June 26, 1956], No. 19814/56. Class 146(1). A document filing device, in which the drummets 4 are secured along one edge in a file 1, comprises a flexible post 5 of rubber, capable of being bent overfor clamping and of standing' erect when released, secured in clamping position by a resilient clip 10 having a limb 12 lying on the upper surface of a flap 2 or clamping bar 20, so arranged that the post 5 may be engaged between it and the clamping bar with the limb 12 lying transversely of the post. The file 1 has hinged binding flaps 2, 3 through which clamping bars 20, 21 are threaded, the bars ending in hooks 22 by which the file can be suspended. Each post 5 has an enlarged head 7 adjacent which lies a part 8 of diameter to fit the holes 6 and 11 in the flaps 2, 3 and bars and prevent the post falling out. Each clip 10 has limbs 12 connected by a cross-piece 14 to engage over the post 5 and extensions 16 formed with hooks 17 to engage through holes 18 in the bar 20 and flap 2: Alternative shapes for connection to the bar are disclosed.
