Abstract

850,203. Mountings for gauges. LANDIS TOOL CO. Jan. 20, 1959, No. 2026/59. Class 106 (2). [Also in Group XXIII] A crankpin grinding machine has a work carriage 30 movable on the bed 10 parallel with the axis of the grinding wheel 20. On the carriage 30 is a swivel table 31 on which is pivotally mounted a frame 60 moved into and out of operative position by a piston 63. Attached to the frame 60 is a member 70. Horizontal springs 71, 71 are attached at one end to the member 70 and at the other end to an intermediate member 72 connected by springs 73, 73 with a member 74 having angularly spaced work engaging shoes 75, 76 held against the workpiece by the springs. A nozzle 77 adjustably mounted in the member 74 is connected to a pressure fluid conduit 78 suspended from member 74 by a resilient member 79. Specification 814,429 is referred to.
