873,253. Textile drafting rollers. SPINNEREIMASCHINENBAU KARL-MARXSTADT VEB. April 29, 1958, No. 13625/58. Class 120(2) In a fluid-pressurized arm for supporting and loading top drafting-rollers, each saddle has at least two pistons interconnected by a web and is so mounted on the web as to be adjustable lengthwise of the arm. As shown, the saddles 8 are adjustably connected to webs 10 by nuts 11 in slots. One web may be connected to a second web 9 supporting two saddles. Each web 10 is loaded by two pistons: in order to provide a guide for the piston in the walls of the arm the pressure chamber is disposed near the upper wall of the arm or an additional guide is provided between the web and the arm. The travel of the webs is limited by members such as 12. The pistons may be connected to the webs rigidly or adjustably: in the latter case the web is carried by rockers each secured to a shaft rotatable in a member carried by the arm. The fluid is pressurized by an adjustable bush 18 and a spring- loaded valve 19: provision is made for relieving the pressure of the spring when setting the arm, and for retaining the arm in operative position.
