Abstract

Spinning nozzles are formed of an alloy having a composition, in per cent by weight, within the following range: Ru 1-30, Pd the remainder. Up to 15% of the Pd may be replaced by one or more of Rh, Ir, Re, Pt, Os. The alloys may be hardened by annealing at 1100-1250 DEG C. and then heating to 700-900 DEG C.
