Abstract

849,606. Anchor-nuts &c. HALL & KAY Ltd. June 26, 1959 [Aug. 1, 1958], No. 24797/58. Class 89(1). An anchor-nut comprises a body 10 shouldered adjacent one end to form a riveting-annulus 12, and slotted at the other end, the slots extending more than half, but not all-way, from said other end to the shoulder, which may have projections 11 or serrations to grip the face of a workpiece to which the nut is riveted. The body may be cylindrical or polygonal in cross-section, and may taper towards the slotted-end, which may be contracted before or after inserting the screw for locking same.
