Abstract
848,273. Cutting by fusion. BRITISH OXYGEN CO. Ltd. April 6, 1959 [April 9, 1958], No. 11178/58. Addition to 760,061. Class 83 (4). In a flame-cutting head having three nozzles 11, 12, 13 for bevel cutting the edge of a metal plate 10 as claimed in the parent Specification, means 23, 24, 29, 30 are provided for positively positioning each bevel cutting nozzle 12, 13 at different predetermined angular settings. Each bevel cutting nozzle is clamped at 26 in a nozzle holder 25 adjustable along an arcuate scale 22 and adapted to be clamped thereto by a screw 28. Abutments 29, 30 which may be one or a pair of rollers carried by the nozzle holder, co-operate with V-shaped notches 23, 24 for positively locating the holder in its adjusted setting. The height of each bevel cutting nozzle is adjusted by screw mechanism 19 against a scale.
