Abstract

844,856. Waveguides. IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Nov. 18, 1957 [Sept. 4, 1956], No. 27018/56. Class 40(8). A coupling between two rectangular waveguides comprises two coupling members 1, 3 provided with rectangular bores and enclosing choke slots 9, 15 which extend completely across the coupling members and open into the bore of the coupling members along its broad surface. The ends of the choke slots adjacent the sides of the coupling members may contain wedges of lossy material. The coupling members are coupled by bolts passing through holes 17, 19 and are, in addition, provided with pins and holes (not shown) to facilitate location.
