844,438. Coffee grinders. DITTING, A. March 11, 1959 [March 14, 1958], No. 8440/59. Class 59 A coffee grinder comprises rotary and fixed grinding discs 8, 11, the disc 8, which is associated with impeller blades 10, being mounted on the shaft 9 of an electric motor having a rotor 6 and stator 5, the stator 5 being supported in spaced relationship to a casing 1 which is of good thermally conductive material, e.g. aluminium, copper or brass and is surrounded by metal sheets 18 to form air channels 19, and the sheets 18 being provided with openings 21 and the casing 1 with openings 22 and exit holes 23 so that a cooling air current circulates through the grinder. The coffee to be gound is fed into a removable hopper 13 closed by a pivotally-mounted cover 15 and the ground coffee is discharged through an opening 36 into an exit pipe 17. The disc 8 is axially adjustable relative to the disc 11 by means of a hand wheel 30 and the motor is switched on and off by'means of a hand wheel 31.
