Class 85 [Also in Group XXIX] A well flow choke device comprises a body 10 having inlet and outlet ducts 15, 18, a duct 14 leading to the ducts 15, 18, a closure member 16 for the duct 14, an extension 17 on the closure member, and a flow restriction member 33 carried by the extension and sealed within the duct 18 to restrict flow through the ducts 15, 18. Oil from the well passes through the duct 15, an aperture 44 in the extension, and the bore 45 in the member 33 to the duct 18 which is connected to tanks. In a modification a needle valve member extends through the closure to co-operate with the bore to form an adjustable choke. The body is of materialhaving high resistance to corrosion.
