833,317. Glow plugs. BOSCH G.m.b.H., R. July 10, 1958 [July 11, 1957], No. 22119/58. Class 7(4) In a glow plug for internal - combustion engines a centre electrode 2 projecting from the connecting end of the plug has slipped thereon in the manner of a plug socket a connecting member 4 which is intended for the feeding of current and which is mounted on, but electrically insulated from, a portion 1 of the glow plug surrounding the centre electrode with a portion of the connecting member projecting into a recess 5 in the portion of the glow plug surrounding the centre electrode. As shown the portion 4<SP>1</SP> of the connecting member is clamped in the recess 5. Instead of the connecting member being held by the portions 7 it. may be held by an internally or externally threaded member. The end of the central electrode on which the connecting member is slipped may be knurled, or a good electrical contact between the centre electrode and the connecting member may be ensured by lateral compressed portions.
