Abstract

A degreasing composition stabilized against decomposition by metals comprises (a) methyl chloroform, containing (b) 1 : 4-dioxane, and (c) nitromethane, the amounts of (b) and (c) being preferably 2-10% and 0.01-7.5% by volume respectively.ALSO:Methyl chloroform is stabilized against decomposition, particularly by metals, by the incorporation of 1 : 4-dioxane and nitromethane, preferably in proportions of 2-10% and 0.01-7.5% by volume respectively.
