826,101. Treatment of growing plants. MURRAY, L. E. R. Jan. 30, 1958, No. 3112/58. Class 6(2). [Also in Group X] A cabinet for propagating and promoting growth of plants includes lights 9, water-tight trays 6 and 7 with stands on which potted plants may be placed, and a heater 13 which evaporates water from the tray 6, the rate of evaporation being controlled by rotating the rod 15 which carries the heater. A further heater below the tray 6 mounted on a rotatable rod 25, is operated when the lights are switched on and when fluorescent lights are used this heater comprises the control units of such lights. The temperature in the cabinet is controlled by a thermostat and ventilating flaps 21, 22 and 19 the latter being placed at the sides of the tray 6. Reflectors adapted to carry filters are placed behind the lights and the walls of the cabinet, one or more of which may be removable may be either transparent or opaque.
