Abstract
822,401. Trolleys for moving motor vehicles. MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG A.G. July 5, 1957 [July 25, 1956], No. 21313/57. Class 108(1) A trolley for moving motor vehicles on their own wheels in a multiple storey garage comprises a wheeled frame 1 which may be pushed along a guide track in the garage floor, and thrust members mounting sets of rubber covered rollers 6 which may be moved outwardly to straighten the front wheels 5 of a vehicle parked on top of the trolley, so that the vehicle may be driven off the trolley into a lift 16. The thrust members 6 are mounted on racks 9 engaging pinions 11 rotated by a motor 14, or the thrust members may be operated by hydraulic or pneumatic means. The transmission to the thrust members may be arranged so that when one set of rollers encounters a front wheel the transmission to this set is made to slip until the other set contacts. A roller platform 15 may be provided in the garage floor to facilitate straightening of the wheels.
