Abstract
814,978. Woven labels. ELECTRO-SEAL CORPORATION. April 9, 1956, No. 10744/56. Class 73 [Also in Group IX] A label of single-ply woven fabric with indicia, J-H, on its front face has thermoplastic threads that become adhesive, when subected to heat and pressure alone, woven into at least one of its integral areas 11 and exposed on its front face only, the marginal areas, as at 11a and b being reversibly foldable out of sight to attach the label to an underlying surface. A plurality of labels may be woven in a strip 10 that is cut transversely to form labels having either one, or two, adhesive margins, as desired. The labels may be similarly formed with adhesive margins on the front surface of either one, or two, of their longitudinal edges, either in addition to, or without, the adhesive transverse margins. Similar margins may be woven on odd-shaped badges or chevrons (Fig. 13, not shown). The method of wearing is described (Fig. 1, not shown).
