Abstract
813,433. Terminal boards. TELLING, S. J., and RAYNER, L. F., [trading as PAGE ENGINEERING CO.]. Nov. 10, 1955 [Nov. 10, 1954], No. 32600/54. Class 38 (1). A terminal block 5 of moulded synthetic resin is formed along the long sides with steps 16, 17, 18, formed with recesses 11 communicating with the front by passages 19 and housing terminals 14, 15 in the form of internallythreaded sleeves or moulded inserts and each receiving a screw and washer for the external lead. After the terminals 14 have been connected, an insulating bar 29 is arranged over the steps 17, 18 and stop 40 with the lugs 30 covering the terminals 14 and spaces 31, 32 receiving the leads from terminals 14 and spaces 34 those from the terminals 15, a flat cover 38 secured by screws 39 protecting the whole. As shown, a relay 1 is secured under the block 5 by internally-threaded hollow bolts 6, the two right-hand terminals 14 being connected to its winding and the remaining terminals to its contacts, the connections being taken through holes in the body 5 to connecting tags 22 secured to the terminals by spinning over the latter. The body is secured to an instrument panel by metal-lined rubber bushes 8 passing through holes 7, and a moulded cover 26 apertured to receive the relay 1 covers the connections. The Provisional Specification refers also to a resilient mounting of the relay to counter vibration.
