812,881. Roofs; roofing units. SILBERKUHL, W. J. Nov. 14, 1957, No. 35468/57. Addition to 785,854 [Group XXI]. Classes 20(4) and 87(1) In a wide-span building having a sawtooth, curved, concrete shell roof of the kind described in the parent Specification, each curved roofing shell 2 comprises a number of prefabricated, individual units 2a provided with means for connection thereof to the booms 1a, 1b of the arched roof trusses. As shown, the edges of the prestressed units 2a are disposed in the direction of the generating lines of the shells, and the units have reinforced depending webs 5 providing for a tooth formation 8 set back from the edges of the units and forming grooves between adjacent units for the reception of grouting material 7. The protruding ends of the transverse reinforcement 4 of the units enables adjacent units to be interconnected, and further projecting fittings in the form of loops or hooks 3 are provided for attachment of the units to hooks 3a, 3b on the booms 1a, 1b. The end units 2b have prestressed, arcuate, reinforcing means and may comprise a number of individual sections.
