Abstract

812,125. Endless conveyers. KERR & CO. (MANCHESTER) Ltd., J. Sept. 2, 1955 [June 2, 1954], No. 16276/54. Class 78 (1). The upper run 20 of an endless band, rope or chain conveyer is guided by a plate 28 which is supported by rungs 11 extending between a pair of side members 10. The ends of members 10 are engaged with supports 13, 14 in which are journalled terminal rollers 22, 29. Jockey pulleys 31, suspended on links 31a from rungs 11a engage the return run of the band, chain or rope. In a modification, Fig. 6, an endless band 42 is guided by a plate 20 resting on top of hollow rungs 11 which are attached to a number of supports 37 by split pins 39, and the return run of the band is guided by rollers 43 which are pivoted on spring-loaded balls 44.
