Abstract

765,003. Roller conveyers. UNITED STATES STEEL CORPORATION. Feb. 7, 1955 [Nov. 8, 1954], No. 3618/55. Class 78 (1). The lower parts of the self-centring conveyer rollers 22 rest on the upper run of an endless driving belt 2 which is supported by snubbing rollers 24 all, or some, of which may be selfcentring. Self-centring rollers 26, 28, 30 bear against the lower run of the belt. The surface of the rollers 26, 30 is slightly concave, but the roller 28 is cylindrical. Idler rollers 32 may be provided at each end of the conveyer. The head and tail pulleys 4, 6 supporting the belt have cylindrical strip-supporting surfaces 8, 16 of considerably less width than the belt. Specifications 709,908 and 735,561 are referred to.
