Class 143 The weight of each charge of material fed by an automatic feed weigher to the injection cylinder of an injection moulding machine is determined by the weight of chain 7 which is supported by the weights holder 6, and this weight of chain is automatically adjusted to correspond with the length of the previous stroke of the injection piston. A movement multiplying linkage 13-21 connects a bar 11, movable by the injection piston (not shown), with a vertically movable slide 8, which supports one end of the chain, thereby adjusting the chain at the end of each injection stroke. The weigh pan 4 is fed by a vibratory tray 5 and is discharged into the cylinder (not shown) by a solenoid 9.
