Abstract
799,340. Making blade wheels for hydraulic couplings and the like. REGIE NATIONALE DES USINES RENAULT. March 6, 1956 [May 14, 1955], No. 7027/56. Class 83 (2). A bladed wheel for an hydraulic coupling or converter has its external wall 2 and blades 5 formed as a single casting, and its internal wall 7 formed as another casting, the two parts being bonded together by a synthetic resin which is subsequently polymerized. The parts are cast in light alloy and machined on the surfaces 3, 4, 6, 8, 9. The internal part forms on its surface 9 a labyrinth joint which in service co-operates with a complementary surface on an adjacent bladed wheel 10, Fig. 2 (not shown). The synthetic resin is applied under heat to the surfaces 6, 8 which are then pressed together and the resin is polymerized.
