[Class 83 (i)] [Also in Group XXXIV] A composite brake block, (see Group XXXIV), is formed by casting an iron mounting M around a carbon element P, the surfaces of the carbon element in contact with the iron being protected by a coating of metal such as copper. Specifications 278,913, [Class 103 (i)], and 495,702, [Group XXXIV], are referred to.
