Abstract

796,163. Two-part couplers. TELEPHONE MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd. Oct. 25, 1956 [July 26, 1955], No. 21588/55. Class 38 (1). The " live " contacts of two socket connectors 1, 2 are connected together by rigid members 3, 4 carrying terminals 8, 11 and the earth contacts at 17, 18 by a member 5, carrying a terminal 19, the latter member constituting part of the fixing means for the unit constituted by the two connectors. A single cover 20 is provided. In another embodiment (Figs. 2 and 3), four connectors are formed into a unit, the earth socket contacts 35 being interconnected by a member 36 serving as a mounting member and carrying a terminal 38, while the " live" contacts 40a ... 40d and 41a ... 41d are interconnected by members as shown in Fig. 3. Terminals 43, 45 are provided.
