Abstract

787,966. Levels. BLACKHAWK MFG. CO. Jan. 27. 1956 [April 29 1955], No. 2684/56. Class 97(2) A spirit level is rotatable, by an amount indicated by a scale, in a frame which also carries a hook the shank of which passes through the intersection of two crossing recesses formed in the frame, the hook serving to clamp the frame to, for example, a pipe engaged in one of the recesses. In the form shown, a frame 10 is slotted in two perpendicular planes, the mouth of each slot having V-surfaces 11. The frame may be clamped in either of two perpendicular directions to a pipe 24 by a hook 19 tightened by a screw 20 with knurled nut 22. Oppositely curved bubble tubes 15, 16 are carried in a rotatably mounted ring 17 the outer surface of which carries an angle scale co-operating with an index 28.
