Abstract

786,419. Valves. SEETRU, Ltd., [formerly SEETRU PRODUCTS, Ltd.], and VARGA, O. H. Feb. 25, 1954 [March 14, 1953], No. 7119/53. Class 135. A valve controlling the flow of fluid in a pipeline comprises a sleeve member 30 having an annular recess 33 which co-operates with radial ports 18, 20 on the sides of a partition 17 in a body member 36 secured in the pipe-line; the valve being opened or closed by screwing the sleeve along the body member. A sealing ring 12 is mounted in a groove in the partition 17 so as to lie between the ports 18, 20, and sealing rings 8, 35 mounted in grooves in the body member and sleeve, respectively, seal the valve against leakage to atmosphere.
