Abstract

785,880. Draught excluders; mouldings. BRIGHT, T. J. R. July 12, 1955 [April 12, 1954], No. 10723/54. Classes 20(3) and 20(4) A draught excluding strip, beading or moulding comprises a channel shaped attachment member 1, for securing to a flange, a rubber or other soft resilient effective portion 3 secured to one of the limbs of member 1 and having a lip 4 which engages the flange to prevent the ingress of moisture, and a fabric or other covering 5 enclosing the part of member 1 which is not covered by portion 3. The portion 3 of L shape, is recessed to receive the covering 5, the two being adhesively secured together and finally sewn at 7 to the member 1. The lip 4 is also recessed at 8 to receive a lip 2 on the clip. In a modification the edge of covering 5 is sandwiched betwen the portion 3 and the member 1. The strip is attached to the flange by lip 2 engaging spaced spring tags mounted thereon. Specifications 649,137, 700,254, 705,634, 707,757 and 708,245 are referred to.
