Abstract
777,846. Cathode-ray tubes. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. April 1, 1955 [Aug. 4, 1954], No. 22578/54. Class 39(1). A focusing arrangement for a wide angle television tube with flat end wall 3, consists of two oppositely magnetized ring magnets 7, 8 and two coils 9, 10 which when energized in dependence on the angle of deflection, oppose the fields of the magnets. In the undeflected position of the beam the coils are not energized. The distance between the magnets is adjustable.
