772,050. Reclining chairs. LORENZ, A. Jan. 14, 1954 [Jan. 21, 1953], No. 1143/54 Class 52 (2). In an adjustable reclining chair with a leg rest 24 pivoted to the front edge of the seat a link 54 connects the leg rest to a controlling arm 48 pivoted to the supporting frame 10 and a further link 44 connects the controlling arm to the seat and back rest which are pivotally mounted on the frame 10 either integrally, as shown, or as separate units interconnected for co-ordinate movement. Modifications are described wherein the link 44 is connected, directly or through a compound linkage, to a downward extension of the back rest, and wherein the controlling arm 48 is pivoted to the frame at its lower end.
