[Also in Groups XX and XXXII] A vinyl resin interlayer having a transverse band of colour, e.g. green, for a laminated windscreen is preformed to such a shape that when it is given its final shape between and is bonded to sheets of curved glass, the blend line 25 lies in a horizontal plane. A rectangular inter layer 30 is preformed by clamping it in pivoted bars 32, moving the bars to stretch the sheet, clamping the bars in the stretched position by wing nuts 43, heating the layer, and then allowing it to sag to the position shown.
