Abstract
768,262. Portable containers; closures. MAUSER, A. July 27, 1954 [June 15, 1954], No. 21870/54. Classes 66 and 125(3). The thickness of the container wall 1 of non-metallic material e.g. plastic or pasteboard is reduced at the ends preferably to about half its thickness to permit of folding and seaming. At the lower end 5 the wall is seamed into a fold with the bottom end member 3, the inner linings 2 and 4 being contained into the fold. At the upper end the wall is rolled at 8 and may be wired as at 9, thereby forming a seating for a removable closure 10 having a lining 12 and packing 11 held in place by a clamping ring 13. The lining may be metal or plastic.
